The Sun King's extravagant reign is memorialized and relived in this beautiful Oxo-Teak set elevated on ornate metal pedestals befitting such royal stature. The Sun King Louis XIV Chessman are hand painted by Italian artisans and intricately molded for an incredible level of detail and beauty.

Oxo-Teak is a special compound of crushed alabaster which bears a strong resemblance to ivory. The kings are Louis XIV and the queens his first wife Maria Mancini. The grandeur of extra large pieces can only be appreciated when beholden in person.

A fantastic addition to any collection, the pieces are ideally fitted with a fine chess table or chessboard with squares of at least 3 inches.
