Helle Norway | VIKING 96
The Viking knife is a revised version of a classic Helle model that was originally created as part of a fundraising effort for a Viking longship's around-the-world expedition.
The knife's barrel-shaped handle is tapered to provide a distinctive grip, even though it is not contoured. Its simplicity offers beauty, and although the design is over a thousand years old, it has become a modern classic.
The knife is suitable for use by individuals with all hand sizes, but it is recommended for those with more experience. There is no finger guard, so caution should be exercised when using it.
Equipped with a thick, laminated carbon steel blade, the Viking knife has a black finish straight from heat treatment. Its narrow tang extends through the handle and is pinned in the old-fashioned way with a diamond-shaped washer.
The Viking knife includes a traditional back-sewn leather sheath with a leather loop for hanging on the belt.
NOTE: The knife blade is crafted from carbon steel and requires proper maintenance to prevent rusting.
